Our Story

Petit Royaume was born in 2024, simply... while preparing our first child's room.

I was looking for a natural wooden bed, with a modern, clean, and timeless style. I loved the simple lines of Scandinavian design, and at the same time, I was discovering the Montessori philosophy, which places the child's autonomy at the heart of their development.

Despite hours of searching, I couldn't find what I had imagined. The models I liked were custom-made by cabinetmakers, at high prices and with lead times of several months.

I then asked myself: why shouldn't these beds be accessible to more families?

This is how the idea for Petit Royaume was born.

 

My name is Geneviève. I am a registered nurse. After our children were born, I chose to put my career on hold to focus on our family and bring this passion project to life.

My partner, Tommy—a former soldier and police officer—shares this journey with me. Together, we built a family business guided by values of quality, simplicity, and sustainability.

Every product we add to our collection begins by solving a need we experienced in our own home. We always ask ourselves: Does this product truly make daily life easier for families? Is it practical? Durable? Is it something we would use with our own children?

If the answer is yes, it earns its place at Petit Royaume.

Today, our mission remains the same as it was on day one: to offer well-designed, affordable furniture and products made from real wood, featuring timeless designs inspired by the Montessori approach—all created to grow with families for years to come.
